Parents as partners

Building a good relationship
  • Parents as partners

The most important people in a child’s life are his/her parents or primary carers. We consider a good relationship with parents vital to giving children the best possible care. This is how we'll do it:
    • Daily Connect

As well as a chat at drop off and pick up, we will communicate with parents via Daily Connect which will record all the important stuff: how much they’ve eaten, when they’ve slept, nappy changes…

    • Weekly newsletter

Our weekly newsletter will outline what the children have been doing that week, list some key vocabulary we have been working on and include details on any important upcoming events.

    • Parents' events

Parents will be invited to events including a parents’ evening, a summer picnic, performances by the children and the children’s graduation ceremonies when they leave for big school.

    • Language support

Non-Spanish speaking parents will be given advice on how to support their child’s language acquisition – and are likely to find themselves picking up a bit of Spanish from their children as they learn!
